A ‘CRAZY’ Good Time Before Spring Recess

Friday, April 8th, 2022—This may seem a little 'crazy' to you, but if you are a member of Utica Academy of Science elementary school's newest Math Club, The Crazy 8's, this is business as usual!

Before Spring Recess, the Crazy 8's meet for an afternoon of math, fun and excitement. With hands-on, minds-on learning, Atoms have been able to apply what they have learned in the classroom to the STEM activities in Crazy 8s.

Over the last few weeks, students have solved math problems using dice, playing Bingo (on a life-size board), plotting coordinates to find buried treasure, and making (and testing) marshmallow catapults.
