Atoms Attract Awards at Science Fair
On Saturday, March 23, 2019, ten projects researched and developed by Utica Academy of Science students recently qualified to compete in the 41st Regional Science Fair at Utica College. The projects previously won awards at the UAS school-wide Science Fair, a requirement for eligibility to participate in the Regional Science Fair. Please congratulate all of our hard-working participants, especially those who received the following awards:
* Melisa Mia Bajic (Gluten Flour vs. Non-Gluten Flour Cupcakes) 3rd Place in Physical Science and $25
* Naida Mujkic (Are Eyewitness Accounts REliable?) 3rd place in Natural Science and $25
* Felix Paulino (The Cardboard Battery) 4th place and a calculator
* Ella Dzaferovic ( Effect of Clorox on Bacteria) received Asa Gray Biological Society at Utica College special award and $50
* Muamer Huseinovic (Money Is Power) received special Norman P. Bernstein award and $25
* Ella Dzaferovic ( Effect of Clorox on Bacteria) received Don and Sally Majka Award and $50
* Lamija Karovic (The Molding of Homemade and McDonald’s French Fries) received Adam and Betha Lachut special award, along with $50
