University at Buffalo Visits UAS HS

Tuesday, October 4th, 2022: The next visit in our College Guidance series was from University at Buffalo! Julie Robertson came to speak with our seniors. This session was a little smaller but no less productive! There were about 8 to 10 students, which made the visit more informative and targeted. They talked about specific majors students were interested in, such as forensics and engineering. Julie spoke about dorm rooms, food (lots of options!), and different opportunities on campus. We also talked about sports and the wide variety of clubs on campus. 

Students received information about CO-OPS, study abroad programs, SAT requirements, and how to make themselves stand out in applications. Julie provided an open environment where she was honest with students, which made students more open with her as well. We also spoke about an upcoming visit to their campus this year!
