Friday, August 27th, 2021—Attention Utica Academy of Science Elementary School Families: We are so excited to have students back in the building, learning and growing for another year.

We know there are still many questions to be answered, in regards to COVID-19, meeting your child's teacher, and our general plans and guidelines for the year.

We'd like to take the time to invite families into the building so they can visit their child's classroom, meet the teacher, and receive general information on school-wide policies and procedures and COVID-19 safety guidelines.

Orientation will take place Thursday, September 2^nd during school hours. We apologize for the short notice, but we wanted to make sure we had the information needed to give a comprehensive overview for the year, as well as follow all safety guidelines to safely welcome parents and families back into the building.

In order to ensure that we are in compliance with any potential capacity restrictions, we ask you to please click here to fill out this survey by Monday, August 30^th to indicate if you are interested in attending Orientation this upcoming Thursday. Parents and families must sign up through this survey to attend.

After we receive feedback from families, we will specify times by grade level, so as to not have too many people in the building at once. We will post specific times by the end of the day Monday.

Students and families are welcome to meet the teacher and explore their new learning space.

Tuesday, August 10th, 2021—Utica Academy of Science Charter School is seeking input from our stakeholders in regards to the American Rescue Plan. On March 11, 2021, the President signed into law the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA). ARPA makes available $122.8 billion nationally for Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief funds. We want to hear from you with suggestions on how to utilize this funding to best support our students.

Monday, August 9th, 2021—Attention Utica Academy of Science families: Please mark your calendar for Monday, August 9^th at 9:00 AM as SANY will be hosting a District-Wide School Emergency and Safety Plan public hearing.

During this meeting, SANY families, employees, students and stakeholders will learn about the District-Wide emergency and safety plans and measures that will be in place for this upcoming 2021 - 2022 school year.

The public hearing will take place in SANY's UASCS Frankfort Campus located at 160 School Ln., Frankfort, NY, 13340.

Friday, August 6th, 2021—One of the best ways to start your day is finding out that you can receive a free book with a purchase of Kellogg’s product. Kellogg's Feeding Reading program is about fueling minds and bodies for school success, and has collaborated with Penguin Random House to offer one free book with a purchase of a box of Kellogg's products. Books can either be kept to add to your own personal library or could be donated to a school in need. Please see the details below on how you can receive your free book today!

How to Participate

1. Purchase a Kellogg's product between now and 09/30/21. Click here to view a list of participating Kellogg’s products. 
2. Take a picture of your receipt and click here to log it in to the website. Receipts must be submitted 14 days after purchase, and no later than 10/14/21.
3.  Receipts will be approved to earn credit to redeem for a book of your choice to keep or donate. Credits must be redeemed by 10/31/21. A limit of 6 books per participant. Click here to view the Penguin Random House book catalog. Book categories range from: Beginner, Middle and Teen.
