Guest Speaker Teaches UAS JSHS Identity Protection

Community Bank Speaker Teaches Utica Academy of Science Scholars about Safety

Wednesday, March 19th, 2025: Utica Academy of Science Junior-Senior High School recently welcomed Cynthia Shanks from Community Bank for an engaging and informative seminar on identity protection.

During her visit, Ms. Shanks provided students with practical strategies for safeguarding personal information, recognizing potential fraud, and securing their online accounts. Her presentation emphasized the importance of being proactive and aware in today’s increasingly digital world.

Students walked away with valuable knowledge and tools to help protect themselves now and in the future. At UAS, we believe it’s never too early to start building smart, responsible digital habits—and this seminar was a meaningful step in that direction.
