UAS ES Honors Black History with Inspiring Student-Created Boards

Friday, February 21st, 2025: At Utica Academy of Science Elementary, students have come together to celebrate Black History Month creatively and meaningfully! They designed incredible Black History Boards to honor the stories and contributions of African American authors, activists, and leaders.

Each student selected a book or historical figure to highlight, sharing powerful narratives of resilience, strength, and change. Through their work, they showcased the impact of these individuals and the importance of learning from history to inspire a brighter future.

This initiative deepened students’ understanding of Black history and encouraged reflection, discussion, and appreciation of the contributions that have shaped our world.
