UAS JSHS Robotics Team Launches into FTC Kickoff

Saturday, September 6th, 2025: The Utica Academy of Science Robotics Team attended the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) Kickoff at Mohawk Valley Community College. This event marked the start of the 2025–2026 robotics season with the exciting theme, DECODE.

During the kickoff, students were introduced to this year’s challenges, explored the game's rules, and began brainstorming possible robot designs. The team also had the opportunity to connect with other schools, share ideas, and strengthen teamwork while seeing how others prepare for the season ahead.

The Atoms are inspired and motivated to begin designing, building, and programming their robot. With hard work, creativity, and collaboration, they are ready for an exciting year of learning, problem-solving, and competition.
