UAS JSHS Welcomes Guest Speaker Ms. Enessa Carbone

A Powerful Conversation with Guest Speaker Ms. Carbone

Thursday, November 6, 2025: We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Ms. Enessa Carbone, Oneida County Clerk, for visiting Utica Academy of Science Junior–Senior High School as part of our Guest Speaker Series. Her presentation on leadership, courage, and community engagement deeply inspired our students, sparking thoughtful questions and meaningful conversations.

One moment that truly stood out occurred when a student asked how to overcome fear. Ms. Carbone shared that fear should not be allowed to cripple us, but instead be used as energy to fuel positive change — a powerful, lifelong lesson our students will carry with them.

We would also like to thank Ms. Carbone for generously providing delicious sandwiches from Jimmy John’s, which were enjoyed by all!

We look forward to continuing this collaboration and welcoming Ms. Carbone back in the future.
