UAS Physics and Engineering Students Explore Energy Innovation
Tuesday, December 16th, 2025: Students from the Physics and Engineering classes at Utica Academy of Science Junior-Senior High participated in an engaging and educational field trip to the New York Energy Zone, where classroom learning came to life through hands-on exploration and real-world applications.
During the visit, students explored a variety of interactive exhibits focused on electricity, renewable energy, and modern energy systems. Through guided activities and demonstrations, they gained a deeper understanding of how energy is generated, distributed, and used in everyday life. These experiences allowed students to connect complex scientific concepts to practical, real-world scenarios in a meaningful and memorable way.
The hands-on nature of the Energy Zone encouraged curiosity, critical thinking, and active participation, making learning both enjoyable and impactful. Students also had the opportunity to ask questions, collaborate with peers, and engage directly with knowledgeable staff members who provided excellent guidance throughout the visit.
