UAS Students Explore STEM Careers with SUNY Poly

Saturday, January 17th, 2026: Mentors from SUNY Polytechnic Institute visited Utica Academy of Science Junior-Senior Charter School for an exciting day of hands-on STEM learning. Students had the unique opportunity to work side-by-side with SUNY Poly mentors, exploring drone technology, learning the fundamentals of engineering and design, and actively participating in building and understanding how drones function.

This engaging experience sparked curiosity, encouraged teamwork, and inspired creative thinking as students applied real-world STEM skills. The visit provided a motivating and memorable opportunity to strengthen students’ interest in innovation, problem-solving, and future STEM careers.
