UASCS ES Celebrates Dr. Seuss Spirit Week

Utica Academy of Science Elemementary Celebrates the Power of Imagination

Monday, March 3rd, 2025: Utica Academy of Science Elementary School brought the magic of Dr. Seuss to life with a Spirit Week in honor of National Read Across America Week.

Students celebrated with:

  • Whimsical Seuss-inspired meals—From green eggs and ham to Truffula Tree treats, students enjoyed creative dishes straight from the pages of Dr. Seuss's books.

  • Lorax mustaches – Students and staff wore their best Lorax-inspired looks, reminding everyone to care for the world around us.

  • Lots of reading and imagination – Every day was filled with storytelling, creativity, and fun, reinforcing the joy of reading.

Dr. Seuss once said, "You're never too old, too wacky, too wild, to pick up a book and read to a child." We loved seeing our students embrace the magic of books, and we look forward to doing it again next year.
