Saturday, December 12th, 2020—Looking to get into the ‘Winter Spirit?’ Well look no further, as Utica Academy of Science Honor Society is hosting a Snowman Building Contest that will take place throughout the month of December. Winners will be selected on Tuesday, January 5th. So Atoms, let us ask you this - Do you want to build a snowman?
How to Participate
Wednesday, December 9th, 2020—Everyone’s favorite holiday family, the McCallisters, are back for the Utica Academy of Science middle school’s virtual Movie Night. Join the McCallisters (and the Atoms) on Wednesday, December 9th at 3:00 PM as they see how Kevin jet sets to New York City and saves the holidays from the ‘Sticky Bandits’ with the help of his new friend, the pigeon lady. Movie Night Details
The middle school teachers will be organizing a Google Meet Movie night for 6th Grade students. The details will be shared with the students.
Wednesday, November 25th, 2020—In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday there will be no school on Wednesday, November 25th through Friday, November 27th. School will resume on Monday, November 30th.
We are thankful for all of our incredible students, teachers and community. Enjoy this long weekend, Atoms!
SANY in collaboration with Chartwells has developed a [contactless drive through] meal service that will allow students greater access to food while at home.

Who Qualifies
Registration and Pickup
To participate, parents/guardians can pre-register for the following week directly at the pickup locations a week in advance. All you need to do is let the staff at the pick-up location know how many meals you want to pick up the following week on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Wednesday, November 11th, 2020—In observance of Veterans Day there will be no school on Wednesday, November 11th. School will resume on Thursday, November 12th.

Thursday, November 5th, 2020- We are excited to share that just yesterday, Utica Academy of Science was featured on WKTV, an NBC affiliate station, on its impressive morning health and safety routine. Wednesday, October 28th, 2020—Utica Academy of Science Elementary School will be hosting a Costume Contest on October 28th, 29th and 30th. Atoms are encouraged to come to school or to their Wednesday Zoom session, wearing their Halloween costume. Each class will vote for their favorite costume. The class winners will compete for a chance to be the Costume Contest Party winner of the school! At the end of the week we will post the school-wide winners on Dojo.
Wednesday, October 28th, 2020—Utica Academy of Science Elementary School will be hosting its monthly Coffee Talk on Wednesday, October 28th at 11:00 AM. All families are welcome to attend as we discuss topics and share resources and experiences that are relevant to our school community. The goal of these monthly meetings is to create an environment for both students and parents alike that will foster greater interaction, growth and learning to occur. We hope you can join us!
