The Utica Academy of Science Charter School (UASCS) is excited to announce two new projects funded by generous grants from the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services. We seek bids from qualified companies, builders, and contractors to improve our school's security and accessibility.

• Project 1: Lighting Improvements
  • Project Code: HC23-2284-E00
  • Description: Enhance the lighting in the front and back parking lots.
  • Maximum Award: $35,000
    
    
• Project 2: Access Control Enhancements
  • Project Code: HC23-2072-E00
  • Description: Improve access control by installing metal detectors and X-ray baggage scanners at the school entrance.
  • Maximum Award: $48,500

Monday, June 17th, 2024: Attention Utica Academy of Science Parents and Guardians: Due to the forecasted high temperatures this week, we will be shortening the days for students to ensure their safety and required comfort. 

On Tuesday, June 18th, and Thursday, June 20th, grades K-5 will be dismissed at 12 PM, grades 6-8 will be dismissed at 11 AM, and high school grades 9-12 will follow the regents schedule we previously shared. Regents will take place in air-conditioned spaces.

Friday, June 21st, will be a regular school day, as temperatures are expected to return to normal. We will let you know if there are any changes.

Thursday, July 4th, 2024: As we celebrate Independence Day, let's take a moment to reflect on the values that make our country great: freedom, unity, and community. We are proud to be part of a diverse and vibrant community where every Atom is encouraged to pursue their dreams and reach their full potential.
