Atoms learned why we commemorate Veterans on Veteran’s Day and wrote letters to U.S. Soldiers stationed overseas

Tuesday, November 26, 2019Students in Mrs. Brown’s class learned how a simple letter could brighten up someone’s day, especially someone who is stationed overseas. In honor of Veteran’s Day, Atoms learned why we commemorate Veterans on Veteran’s Day. As a project, students took time to write soldiers stationed overseas and thanked them for their service. These kind words and simple gesture made a world of difference, created a lasting impact and brightened up the soldiers’ day. To the Atoms’ surprise, they received a video thanking them for their letters and just how much it meant to receive them. Thank you to all the brave men and women who are currently serving (or have served) in the U.S. Military.
